Not sure where to find the closest military park or memorial? Try searching google: veteran memorial park near <insert your location>.

Happy Memorial Day.

Thank you, veterans, for our freedom.

:) Sounds like a nice idea. we are planning on hanging out at my parents for the day. Then having a nice meal with my grandparents included. Should be a nice day outside! :)

Happy Memorial Day to you!

Great idea. Thanks for sharing the link! We have many veterans in our family and enjoy celebrating and honoring all they've done for us.

I always love your suggestions Karen!! This is a great one, and a great time to teach our children about the sacrifices some have made for our Country. My family went to our local memorial parade! I stayed home and worked, I know, bad mommy, but you know how swamped I am!! Lots of love!! xoxo

I have never visited a memorial park. I definitely need to do it!

We have a soldiers and sailors museum near us. Might be a fun thing to do on a day like today.

Leigh,
Where do you live? My favorite memorial park is near Vero Beach in Florida. Simply love the tranquility of the park. Solemn but not sad. My boys loved to visit it when they were little.
