Now that we've talked about how to travel and where to stay, how can I help you?
Are you planning a trip and not sure what to do next?
Or does the very thought of planning overwhelm you so you don't know where to start?
Perhaps you want more information about something I've already posted. Just let me know.
If you're one of those people, like me (for now anyway), with no vacations on the horizon, where and when do you think your next trip might be?
Just ask! I'll answer your questions in a special post next week!
Happy Travels!

You sound like as much of an expert on travel as me... (maybe even more travelling with a family!) I will have to think of a really good question, maybe about travelling with my twins! Expect one soon!
I'd love to know what websites you think are the best for finding a good deal. :)
My family wants to visit Vancouver, BC. Any suggestions on where to start finding things to do. It will be me and my little ones, yikes!
Five Little Chefs,
How far do you live from Vancouver?
Contact the convention and visitors bureau to request information. I'll get back to you with specifics soon!
Happy Travels!
We will be driving for about 16 hours to get there, and staying for 7 days!
WOW!!! And that's solo parenting with five kids? Ages???
8 and under. DH will be driving with us but working a regular job during the week. He can play with us at night only. At least we will get to see him a little more and discover a new place!
WOW!!! I admire your adventurous spirit. When my boys were young, 6 and 3, we moved from Ohio to NC. I made several trips -- sans hubby -- back and forth. I have mastered in-car entertainment (and that was back in the day before cars came equipped with TVs!)
Look for a post on kid-tainment next week!
Hmmm... I don't have travel plans at the moment, but I would love to see the questions AND your answers! I have a feeling I'll be learning a lot from you. :)
We are looking at planning a trip to one of the Hawaiin islands. We love Maui but would like to try somewhere new. Any recommendations on the other islands?
Hey there,
Next week watch for two special blog posts that answer your questions: Car travel with young kids! AND a special post on Hawaii -- Tara, I have a dear friend who lived there for many years (and hopes to return soon). She is making some recommendations just for you! :)
Kauai is beautiful, but it rains a lot. Great kayaking there :)
Thanks everyone for your input!

How does your family save for vacations?
Sue345678,
That's a great question. We have a family savings account just for travel. We only put in $25/month right now ($400/year), but when extra money comes in (tax return), we add a little extra. As a vacation draws near, we increase our savings by another $50/month (total of $75/month) and cut back on groceries, etc. We never travel on a credit card. I just can't imagine coming home from vacation and having to pay it off over the next several months.
We don't take big vacations every year, but we save up to go someplace nice every few years. In between, we head to the beach (1.5 hours away) or the mountains.
Hope that helps. If you have more specific qusestions, please email me through the contact page. I'm happy to help!
@Five Little Chefs...I am from BC...I don't live in Vancouver, I live in the Okanagan Valley (4 hours east of Vancouver). Vancouver is a beautiful place to visit! Stanley Park, the Vancouver Aquarium, a drive out to Cultus Lake is awlays nice. There are so many things to see and do there! Have a wonderful trip!!
